American Heart Association Purse-Onality Event

Gather with friends and community members at the 9th Annual Purse-Onality event for an evening of Hands-Only CPR demos, healthy bites, and bidding in a silent auction of more than 25 purse packages donated by local supporters. Each purse is hand-selected and filled with items and mementos that reflect the donors’ "purse-onality" such as work, hobbies or family interests. A brief speaking program will include guest medical and survivor speakers to inspire guests to improve their heart and brain health. Heart disease and stroke impact people in very personal, life-changing ways. Bold moves, and dedicated researchers and volunteers, have resulted in significant medical advancements over 100 years. We haven’t done it alone. We reach our goals working with organizations and individuals who share our vision for better health. Our campaigns unite supporters with a shared purpose to raise the critical funds we need to ensure our work continues. It's not just about the resources we give, the dollars we raise, or the fun we have. It's about the lives we can save, together. The Need is Clear Since the AHA’s founding in 1924, deaths from cardiovascular diseases have been cut in half. And yet, there are still so many lives to be saved. Recently, death rates have worsened, and equity gaps have widened. Solutions are not getting to the people who need them the most. We are committed to change that.
