Bird Banding Demonstration

Visit the bird banding station at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm, where bird studies have been ongoing for more than 25 years. Scientists from the Biodiversity Research Institute and the Maine Medical Center Research Institute are contributing to knowledge of bird migration, breeding activities, life spans, and vector ecology. You may even get to release one of the songbirds from your hand!
