Classical Music Concert Je t'aime! By Visiting Musicians from Lithuania

A trio of accomplished musicians from Lithuania will perform at the Franciscan Guest House Music Hall (26 Beach Ave, Kennebunk, ME 04043) on Saturday, June 29, 7.30 pm. Karolina Glinskaite (soprano), Birute Aseviciute (piano) and Saule Aseviciute (violin) will present a selection of well-known arias from world-famous operas, subtle French melodies, passionate tango and some music of Lithuanian composers. The program will include music by G. Puccini, G. Fauré, C. Debussy, F. Saint-Saëns, F. Lizst, G. Verdi, V. Bartulis, A. Kacanauskas, B. Dvarionas, and other composers. Soprano Karolina Glinskaite graduated from Stasys Simkus Conservatoire in Lithuania. She obtained her Master’s degree at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, the class of classical vocal performance with renowned Lithuanian tenor and Professor Virgilijus Noreika. After graduating Glinskaite joined the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater Opera Studio for the 2014-2015 season and created the roles of Leonore in Beethoven’s Fidelio, Anina and Giovanna in Verdi’s La Traviata and Ernani. Gliskaite performs in Lithuania, Italy, Belgium, participates in international music festivals, such as Morellino Classica Festival Internazionale di Scansano (Italy), Triomphe de l’Art Music Festival (Belgium), Sugrizimai (Returns), Christopher Summer Festival and many others. She is a soloist at Vilnius City Opera and a member of joint Baroque and jazz quartet Baroque Contempo. Glinskaite released a debut album with Baroque Contempo in 2016. The soprano will be accompanied by pianist Birute Aseviciute and young violinist Saule Aseviciute, the Grand-Prix winner of international competition “Summer Talent League” in 2018. Saule studies violin at the The National M.K. Ciurlionis School of Art and double bass at B. Dvarionas Music School in Lithuania.
