How to Make A Field Guide

Are you interested in keeping a journal of your outdoor adventures?

Kennebunk Land Trust will host “How to Make Your Own Field Guide” on Saturday, May 23rd. Carollee Ferris, Naturalist and Journal Keeper, will lead a three hour workshop at the Trust owned Moulton Field. The course will focus on the basics of observation and journal keeping with an emphasis on developing a field guide.

The workshop will run from 9:00am to noon rain or shine. Moulton Field is located 1 mile east of Route 1 on Summer Street (Route 35) in Kennebunk. Please remember to dress appropriately for weather conditions and wear footwear suitable for some wet conditions. You will want to bring a camp stool or tarp to sit on and an unlined journal with pens and a field guide that is of interest to you i.e. wildflowers, birds, insects.

Please call Kennebunk Land Trust Office during business hours to register, 985-8734. Class size is limited, please register in advance. Fee: $5 KLT donors; $7 all others.
