Irish Set Dance Pop Up Class
Irish Set Dancing is a folk-dance style from the 1800s. The "set" consists of four couples, resembling square dancing. The dances are typically composed of 4 to 6 figures, which have distinct movements danced to traditional Irish music. Set dancing is a lively, energetic form of dance with a rigorous, aerobic quality. It’s a community-oriented dance where couples swing, chain, house, hold hands, form arches, and have a lot of fun! Sue Dunlavey of Seacoast Set Dancers will be instructing & calling the dances. www.SeacoastSetDancers.org Event is a collaboration between Casco Bay Set Dancers of Maine and Seacoast Set Dancers of New Hampshire. Wear comfortable shoes & bringing a water bottle.

Dane Street Program Center (yellow building located behind the Brick Store Museum) 4 Dane Street, Kennebunk, Maine 04043 Parking is available on Dane Street on the same side of the street as the program center. Please do not park on the opposite side of the street. Additional parking is available at the Town Hall parking lot and on Main Street.
