KKA Chamber: Groundbreaking Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Hope Cemetery

Please join us on Monday, November 25 at 10:00 AM to help Hope Cemetery for a groundbreaking ribbon cutting ceremony!

The address is 2 Barnard Lane, Kennebunk. You can park along Barnard Lane.

The Board of Directors of Hope Cemetery in Kennebunk is pleased to share that work has begun on the installation of a custom columbarium wall for the interment of ashes. The design inspiration comes from the Old Cemetery near the Unitarian Church and the iconic New England stone wall. Niches in the columbarium will be available for sale in the spring of 2025.  Pricing and more information will be available on the Hope Cemetery website in early 2025.

Hope Cemetery sits in the heart of downtown Kennebunk. Initially established as a small burying ground next to what is now the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, with its first burial in 1790, it is one of the most visible reminders of Kennebunk’s rich history. A beautiful, peaceful, serene setting for reflection and remembrance, Hope Cemetery’s 30 acres feature ancient copper beeches and other Silent Sentinels in its rural, garden-style setting. To learn more, click here.

We hope to see you there!
